Woman in Pain

Don't accept your pain as normal. Many who have chronic pain have given up on ever being pain-free. I was that person before my dear friend introduced me to acupuncture. I can personally show you how changes in diet and life-style can reduce, and in some cases, eliminate long-term pain. I can also show you how to do at-home gentle exercises to keep pain from taking over your life!

Acupuncture is widely known to be effective when used to manage pain. When

defining pain we have to remember that each person "feels" pain in their own individual way. There are many resources stating its efficacy which you can find on my RESEARCH tab. The insertion of acupuncture needles prompts the body's natural response which releases pain relieving endorphins. The causes of pain are endless and the choices we make to manage it are just as numerous. The current state of affairs in our country, where the use of pharmaceutical pain killers has created a crisis, has brought a need to emphasize alternate ways to manage pain.

Long-term pain can impede our daily activities, making days stressful and nights too long. We can use both herbal therapy and acupuncture to decrease your daily pain load. A form of Chinese massage called Tui Na (tway nah), the use of cupping therapy, and Electric stimulation are just a few additional therapies also used to effectively manage pain. Follow the link below to read about the variety of modalities used in Chinese Medicine for pain relief.
